ADVANCED CLASSICAL BALLET & CONTEMPORARY DANCE CLASSES IN WELLINGTON

Raising the Barre (RTB) offers advanced ballet and contemporary classes to the advanced/professional dance community to fill the niche between the school and company class. RTB welcomes retired and aspiring professional dancers as well as professionals/freelancers or non-professionals continuing to train at an advanced level. Open classes are available to members of both the local and visiting dance communities; local dancers from various disciplines can supplement their existing training and visiting dancers have a place to take class when away from their home studios.

Classes are open and the instructors teach on a rotational basis, to add to the diversity of styles and techniques dancers can learn from. New Zealand’s most recognised dancers and choreographers can come to Raising the Barre to share their knowledge as teachers or to learn from the masters and leading choreographers in the city as well as international guests.
